2022 Golden Horse Awards

The 59th Golden Horse Awards ceremony will take place at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Taipei at 7 p.m. Saturday, to celebrate achievements by filmmakers and the movie industry in the Chinese-speaking world.

Awards in 23 categories will be presented, along with two lifetime achievement awards and an award recognizing the “Outstanding Taiwanese Filmmaker of the Year.”

For the third time in five years, no films have been nominated in the best animated film category.

A red carpet event preceding the awards ceremony is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

In Taiwan, Taiwan Television Enterprise (TTV) will broadcast the red carpet event and the awards ceremony, which will also be streamed live online by My Video and Line Today.

In Singapore, people can watch through StarHub, while viewers in Malaysia and Brunei can turn to their local Astro services, according to the organizers.

Outside the four countries, both TTV and the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival (TGHFF) will offer live streaming of the event starting at 5:30 p.m. through their respective YouTube channels.
