Nov 28, 2017 Human Rights Comments Off on Andre Chiang makes 100 Best Chefs list again
Taiwanese celebrity chef Andre Chiang has made the 100 Best Chefs in the World list for 2018. The ranking was compiled by the French magazine Le Chef. It is the fourth consecutive year that Chiang has made the list, where he is the only chef from Taiwan.
The culinary world was abuzz last month when Chiang announced that he planned to close his two-Michelin-starred Restaurant Andre in Singapore next February. He said he was going to give back the Michelin stars and return to Taiwan. However, earlier this month, Chiang revealed that he will launch a food and restaurant project called The Bridge in Chengdu, the capital of China's Sichuan Province, in December.
Restaurant Andre is ranked second on the list of Asia's 50 Best Restaurants and is the only restaurant in Singapore on the World's 50 Best Restaurant list, ranking 14th.
