The 2014 Taipei International Bird-watching Fair, organized by city hall and the Wild Bird Society of Taipei, will take place at Guandu Nature Park this weekend!
Spotlighting the theme “Natural Balance in Wetlands,” a series of event ranging from games to DIY classes will bring participants closer to Taipei’s precious wetland ecosystem.According to the Department of Economic Development, the city government plays an active role in the conservation of wetlands. In November of 2001, it invited the Wild Bird Society of Taipei to manage the Guandu Nature Park, which is also Taiwan’s first wetland restoration zone. The facility also became the island’s first certified environmental education venue in October of 2011.The Taipei International Bird-watching Festival will be held between 9 AM and 4:30 PM on October 25 and 26.
