CORONAVIRUS/COVID-19 cases visited Q Square, stores in Taoyuan, Pingtung

Local health authorities on Sunday released a list of locations in Taoyuan City, Taipei City, and Pingtung County that 10 people confirmed to have COVID-19 had been to before testing positive for the disease.

The locations in Taoyuan and Pingtung County were visited by the individuals between Jan. 16 and Jan. 27. They include restaurants, supermarkets, and a Starbucks,

One of the cases also visited a cycling path in Pingtung County’s Zhutian Township, near Guangming Road, on Jan. 22, while another went to the Q Square shopping mall opposite Taipei Main Station.

A representative from Q Square told CNA that they received notice from Taipei’s Department of Health that an individual who has tested positive visited the mall on Jan. 23.

The mall closed at 6 p.m. Sunday for disinfection and will reopen on Tuesday, though three restaurants on the fourth floor — Eatogether, HeyAhh, and Crystal Spoon — will begin to allow guests starting from 6 p.m. Monday, the representative said.

People who have been to these locations should get tested immediately if they develop COVID-19 symptoms, the health departments said.
