Aug 10, 2018 Politics Comments Off on Hon Hai sets new high for July revenue
Taipei, Hon Hai Precision Industry, the world's largest contract electronics manufacturer, posted consolidated sales of NT$395.59 billion (US$12.89 billion) in July, the highest for the month in the company's history.
July sales were 1.46 percent higher than June revenue of NT$389.89 billion and were also up 25.56 percent from a year earlier, Hon Hai reported Friday.
In the first seven months of this year, Hon Hai's revenue totaled NT$2.504 trillion, up 13.34 percent from the NT$2.209 trillion recorded during the same period last year, according to the company, which is known as the Foxconn Technology Group overseas.
Computing products were the leading driver of Hon Hai's sales in the January-July period, followed by consumer electronics and communication products, Hon Hai said.
Analysts expect Hon Hai to rack up NT$1.06 trillion to NT$1.07 trillion in revenue in the third quarter, which would also be a company high for the three-month period.
