Taipei, Residents of Taichung's Houli District on Saturday were invited to go on an early tour of the Houli Horse Ranch and Forest Park Area, one of the sites set to host the 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition in November.
Exposition spokesperson Huang Yi-han (???) said the tour gave Houli residents an early glimpse of activities that will be featured during the official show.
The horse-riding activity was especially popular as were the street art performances, Huang said.
According to Chen Yu-cheng (???), Houli Park Area manager, the event had welcomed about 15,000 people as of noon.
When the exposition officially begins next month, Chen said visitors to the Houli Horse Ranch and Forest Park Area will get to see different species of Taiwan orchids, as well as international competitions and cultural performances.
Horse-riding performances will be held at the park's Equestrian Stadium every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. during the show, he said.
The 2018 Taichung World Flora Exposition, which will run from Nov. 3 through April 24 next year, will be held at three different venues across Taichung -- Waipu, Houli and Fengyuan.
