Temple City in California and Hualien County in Taiwan will forge sisterhood relations on Aug. 25, when the county chief signs a memorandum of understanding cementing the ties in person in Los Angeles.
Hualien County Magistrate Fu Kun-chi (???) will fly to the United States to sign the MOU, John Wu (???), a former chairman of the Taiwan Benevolent Association of America, told CNA on Tuesday.
Temple will be Hualien's third sister city, following Magdalena de Kino in Mexico and Hawkesbury City in Australia, said Wu, who played a key role in promoting sisterhood links between Temple City and the eastern Taiwan county.
