Hundreds of fans were on hand to welcome Taiwanese-American NBA player Jeremy Lin back to Taiwan in the early hours of Sunday morning. The Brooklyn Nets point guard is here on an eight-day visit that will last through July 23.
Lin greeted his fans after landing at just after 5am on Sunday morning. He told them in Mandarin how happy he was to be back in Taiwan, saying that he'd be traveling to Taipei and Taichung during his trip.
Taiwan is the first stop of Lin's Asia tour, which will also take him to China. He kicked off the Taiwan leg with a press conference in Taipei's Xinyi District later on Sunday. A basketball game with pop star Jam Hsiao was arranged at a court near Taipei 101 on Sunday night.
Lin is also scheduled to teach at a basketball camp and attend promotional activities for a sports brand.
