Taipei, The winning ticket for Tuesday's Grand Lottery, with a jackpot of NT$800 (US$26.1 million), was sold by a lottery store in Changhua County, central Taiwan, after 23 draws without a winner, according to Taiwan Lottery Corp. (TLC).
It was the second-highest payout to a single winner since the lottery was launched in 2004, according to TLC, with the largest one being NT$937 million on June 9, 2009.
The ticket was sold in Xihu Township, making it the fifth time since 2014 that a grand prize has been claimed by someone in the central county.
The winning numbers were 11, 26, 37, 14, 41, and 20, plus the special number 02, the TLC announced that evening.
The individual will receive a total of NT$640 million after taxes are deducted.
