Taipei--Hyeonseo Lee (???), a North Korean defector and activist who lives in South Korea and became known after her TED talk in 2013, will visit Taiwan and hold three talks from July 14 to 16.
"The Girl with Seven Names: A North Korean Defector's Story," Lee's book published in 2015, had a Chinese version published in Taiwan in the same year.
Lee will hold talks at Songshan Cultural and Creative Park on July 14, Eslite Bookstore Xinyi branch on July 15, both in Taipei, and at the main branch of Kaohsiung Public Library in the southern Taiwan city on July 16.
She was invited to Taiwan by Taipei-based Emily Publishing Company, which published her book's Chinese version.

Lee, who was born in Hyesan in North Korea in 1980, crossed a border river to China in 1997 and managed to enter South Korea in 2008.
Her TED talk has received more than five million views.
