Taipei, National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) Hospital signed a memorandum of understanding Tuesday with India's Cygnus Hospitals, promoting bilateral exchange in medical developments.
The MOU was inked, at a signing ceremony held in Tainan, by NCKU Hospital Superintendent Yang Chyun-yu (???) and Director of Operations at Cygnus Hospitals Naveen Nishchal, who is also chairman of "Voice of Healthcare," a policy think tank based in New Delhi.
Yang said the agreement aims to further promote bilateral exchanges between the two institutions, especially in the field of healthcare and biomedical technology.
NCKU Hospital will also provide training for medical staff at Cygnus, while presenting an opportunity for Taiwan's biotechnology industry to tap the growing Indian market, he said.
Founded in 2011, Cygnus Hospitals has 10 hospitals across Delhi and Haryana, providing international standard healthcare to more than 1 million people in small communities across north India.
