Taipei-Taipei Children's Amusement Park, which opened almost five years ago, on Wednesday recorded its 10 millionth visitor, who received a gift of a free entry ticket for a year, the operator said Thursday.
The 10 millionth visitor, a man identified only as Li (?), entered the park Wednesday at around 3:57 p.m. with his girlfriend, according to Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation (TRTC), which manages the facility.
Li was presented with an unlimited pass to the park and all its attractions for a full year, while his girlfriend received a season pass valued at NT$30,000, TRTC said.
The five people who arrived before and after the 10 millionth visitor were also given season passes, according to TRTC.
Four of them, including a mother and son from Changhua County, were first-time visitors to Taipei Children's Amusement Park, TRTC said.
Most of the winners of the passes were young couples, rather than children, which was an indication of the park's popularity as a dating venue, the management said.
Taipei Children's Amusement Park opened on Dec. 16, 2014 in the city's Shilin District.
