The state-owned Taiwan Water Corporation is set to participate in an upcoming meeting on economic cooperation with the Philippines.
The meeting is set to take place in the Philippines during December, and will also see officials such as Taiwan's economics minister attend.
Taiwan Water plans to use the meeting to share its technology with the Philippine side and examine water quality in a local reservoir. The company says there are three large areas open to bilateral cooperation on water resources: water quality inspection, purification, and quality monitoring.
The company says it is too early to discuss the possibility of talks on cooperation in the area water resources. However, an unnamed source has expressed optimism about the possibilities for bilateral cooperation.
