Taipei--Taiwanese tennis player Hsieh Su-wei (???) has been eliminated from the women's singles at the French Open following a third-round loss to France's Caroline Garcia on Saturday.
Hsieh, No. 109 in the WTA Rankings, was defeated 4-6, 6-4, 7-9 by the 28th-seeded Garcia after a match that lasted close to three hours.
Hsieh tied with the best performances of Taiwanese females in the women's singles at the French Open.
Taiwan's Wang Shi-ting (???) made it into the last 32 at the French Open in 1994 and 1995, while Chan Yung-jan (???) advanced into the last 32 in 2011.
