15 receipts win NT$10 million in November-December invoice lottery

A total of 15 receipts issued in November and December each won the NT$10 million (US$337,151) special prize in Taiwan’s bimonthly invoice lottery, the Ministry of Finance (MOF) said Friday.

According to the MOF, three of the 15 receipts with the winning number 28089459 were issued by 7-Eleven convenience stores, including one issued for a NT$39 drink, and another for a NT$13 bill payment charge.

Other NT$10 million winners included one person who spent NT$81 on chocolate and other items at a Hi-Life convenience store in Taoyuan’s Guanyin District, the MOF said.

It added that the FamilyMart convenient store chain issued two NT$10 million winning receipts, both for purchases of less than NT$60 at stores in Taichung’s East District and Taoyuan’s Luzhu District, respectively.

Meanwhile, 7-Eleven stores also issued two of the 14 receipts with the NT$2 million grand prize-winning number 30660303, according to the MOF.

Two more NT$2 million winners were issued by FamilyMart stores in Taipei’s Songshan District and Taoyuan’s Zhongli District, while one was issued by a Hi-Life store, the MOF added.

The November-December lottery prizes can be claimed between Feb. 6 and May 6, 2023, according to the ministry.

Taiwan’s uniform invoice lottery was started in 1951 to increase the issuance of receipts and clamp down on tax evasion by businesses.
