With that in mind, related stakeholders must take follow-up action based on the studies by developing proper and accurate plans because schools serve as places for the nation’s next generation to study, improve their thinking ability, and inculcate virtuous morals, the deputy speaker said. Moerdijat also called for all-out efforts to ensure the security and comfort of students, including by providing reliable school facilities and infrastructures that are resistant to disasters. Furthermore, she highlighted data provided by Statistics Indonesia (BPS), which outlines that in the 20212022 academic year, Indonesia experienced an increase in cases involving damage to school facilities. Hence, she asked policy makers to pay close attention to the quality and maintenance of public facilities and infrastructures, including schools, in order to provide a sense of security and comfort to the next generation in their studies. The politician then expressed the hope that all related parties would correctly and transparently carry out development in the education sector, in accordance with the agreed planning. Such development is of the essence to support the country’s efforts to produce tough and high-quality human resources through the education sector, she said.
