Military to produce more T75K3 pistols for Navy, Air Force

The military will produce 15,770 more of the new T75K3 pistols to be issued to the Military Police, Air Force and Navy, with delivery to be completed by 2025, Taiwan’s defense ministry said Thursday.

The T75K3 is the latest variant of Taiwan’s indigenous T75 pistol manufactured by the 205th Arsenal under the Armaments Bureau.

The pistol was displayed alongside another firearm from Taiwan’s homegrown arsenal, the T108 sniper rifle, which was designed based on the older T93K1 sniper rifle also developed in Taiwan, during a media tour of the 205th facility in Kaohsiung on Thursday.

The T75K3 has a muzzle velocity of 350 meters per second, and the capacity to carry 15 rounds with an effective range of 50 meters, the Ministry of National Defense (MND) said.

Made from lightweight composite materials, the pistol was designed based on the T75K1 but also features polygonal rifling which gives the latest T75K variant greater accuracy and barrel durability, the MND added.

According to the military, the first batch of 10,040 T75K3 pistols has already been delivered to the Army. Also, a portion of the 15,770 guns ordered will go to the MND’s All-Out Defense Mobilization Agency.
