Ban Dan Temple has a sacred Buddha image that is revered by the villagers, namely Luang Pho Thong, in the sea-ban posture, over 700 years old, enshrined. It is a Buddha image that the Fine Arts Department has confirmed is an art Buddha image. It is expected that it was built in the late Sukhothai period. It is a sacred Buddha image and has shown miracles on many occasions. For example, in 1965, that was the year that fortune seekers went looking for Buddha statues to sell or export abroad according to market demand. There was a fortune seeker who secretly stole Luang Pho Thong using 4 people to carry him and headed out of the temple. Traveled all night only about 2 kilometers, so Luang Por Thong was hidden in an anthill. The next day, I hired a villager’s cart to carry it. And after traveling for some distance, the cart broke. and threw the Buddha image into a pond The villagers searched for it and found it, so they brought it back to Ban Dan as before.

And again in 197
5, a group of influential people came back to steal Luang Phor Thong. Loaded into a jeep, taken to Rasi Salai District, and kept in the area of his own house. But symptoms of paranoia arose. So he took it and hid it in a grove on the sandy beach of the Mun River near Wat Klang. The villagers searched until they found it and took it to Rasi Salai Police Station and kept it at the Sisaket Province City Hall. When it was proved that it was Luang Pho Thong It is a Buddha image of Wat Ban Dan. So it was brought back to the temple as before again. and brought Luang Phor Thong Firmly enshrined in an iron cage To prevent sinful villains from stealing Luang Por Thong again.

Luang Por Thong is a Buddha image that people in the village have. and people of Sisaket Province including other provinces respect and faith I believe that if you come and ask for a blessing, your wish will be granted. But most importantly, if you want to ask, you must shout and ask out loud. for Father Thong to hear And you have to act like a go
od person. in the arts To be effective

In addition to Ban Dan Temple There will be Luang Phor Thong. And now there is still a temple of Luang Por Thong. This temple is considered a new landmark of Sisaket Province. Because Ban Dan Temple, Sisaket, has built an exquisite temple with carved patterns and sculptures of the Naga and various angels. that looks delicate and beautiful, like heaven on earth The entire temple is mainly white. Looks similar to Wat Rong Khun, Chiang Rai Province.

In addition, the Khong gate is considered to be the most beautiful arch in the Northeast. The highlight is that there are carved designs and sculptures of the Naga and various angels. It looks delicate and beautiful. The strange thing is that when standing in the middle of the door and speaking or shouting, there will be a resonating sound. It’s like being in the hall. But when I walked out of the archway, When speaking out, it doesn’t resonate as loudly as when at the arch.
