Taiwan is experiencing a surge in COVID-19 cases, especially in the northern part of the country, and the government has limited the availability of PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests normally used to confirm positive COVID-19 cases.
People who suspect or wonder if they may have COVID-19 but not have clear symptoms must first take a rapid test at home. If the result is positive, they can then get a PCR test.
CNA has compiled a list of places in New Taipei and Taipei where people who test positive using a rapid test can get a PCR test.
