Myanmar Quake Felt in Bangkok

BANGKOK, June 19 (TNA) – An offshore earthquake of 6.0 magnitude in Myanmar was felt in Bangkok and Nonthaburi on Monday morning.

The Thai Meteorological Department’s Earthquake Observation Division reported the earthquake jolted Southern Myanmar at 08.40 am at a depth of 10 kilometers, about 289 kilometers southwest of Tak’s Phop Phra district.

The tremor was felt in Bangkok particularly in skyscrapers in Ratchadamri, Pathumwan, Wattana, Laksi, Chatuchak and Sathorn. Signboards at the building of the Department of Intellectual Property in Nonthaburi shook for 30 seconds. (TNA)
